🎧 Listen to the interview:
It’s a pleasure for me to bring you my interview with the amazing Kate Speer. She shares her incredible story with us and does so with such brazen honesty and vulnerability. It’s a must-listen.
Kate is a writer, TEDx speaker, creator-turned-entrepreneur, and renowned mental health advocate—and one of my favorite humans on this planet.
Known for her brazen honesty and tireless work to de-stigmatize mental illness, she is on a mission to use business for good and address the teenage suicide epidemic head-on. After five years as the CEO of The Dogist where she scaled its audience to 5 million and built a fully-fledged social impact e-commerce company, she is taking a sabbatical to plan her next venture—a documentary company devoted to narratives about serious mental illness—and write her first memoir. Kate currently shares her experiences with this transition and serious mental illness with her community of 175,000 on social media and Substack each week. When she is not writing, speaking, or creating, she can be found adventuring in Vermont where she lives with her husband and two medical alert service dogs, Waffle and Tugboat.
Kate is also just a phenomenal human being. You’ll get a clear sense of that within just a few minutes of our interview. Listen and enjoy.
